Discount Type

The Discount Type section defines how the discount reduces prices.

Discount Types

• Percentage — Reduces the total by a percentage (e.g., 15% off)
• Fixed Amount — Reduces the total by a set dollar amount (e.g., $5 off)
• Volume — Applies a percentage discount when a minimum item quantity is met (e.g., 10% off when ordering 3 or more)
• Free Item — Grants selected menu items for free once the order reaches a minimum amount

Value

Enter the discount amount. For percentage discounts, this is a number between 1 and 100. For fixed amounts, enter the dollar value. For volume discounts, set both the minimum quantity and the percentage.

Max Discount Cap

For percentage and volume discounts, you can optionally enable a maximum discount cap. This limits the dollar amount saved regardless of the order total — useful for preventing unexpectedly large discounts on high-value orders.

Free Item Settings

Free item discounts have a few extra settings:

• Quantity per item — How many units of each selected item the customer gets for free.
• Auto-add to cart — Automatically adds the free item once the minimum order amount is met. When off, customers only see an offer prompt.
• Stack with other free item discounts — Allows this discount to be granted together with other free item discounts on the same order. If any qualifying free item discount has this off, only one free item discount is granted per order: the winner is picked by priority, then by minimum order threshold, then by total free value.
